Heather Picart is a Clinical Therapist who resides in the Greater Toronto area. She was born and raised in Toronto, having completed her Master’s in Professional Counselling at Liberty University, earning a certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and many others in Indigenous Social Work.
As an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, Heather enjoys listening to others, developing a therapeutic rapport, and providing support and encouragement to those in need.
She utilizes a unique combination of interpersonal psychotherapy and cognitive behavioural techniques, which help her identify her client’s challenges and implement meaningful, evidence-based treatment solutions.
Being in a multicultural destination like Toronto enabled her to work with diverse individuals and families from every walk of life. As a parent, youth mentor, and professional mental health clinician, Heather has an in-depth and practical view of the problems people face in modern-day times regarding their professional and personal lives.
Whether it is depression due to work and career challenges, or the death of a close friend or family member, she is committed to helping you through. Her experiences include treatment solution development for men, women, and children with a directed focus on issues surrounding depression, anxiety, poor communication, and physical abuse. She has profound experience facilitating motivational and therapeutic discussion groups and public speaking.
Heather Picart has provided marriage counselling, anger management, intensive support and supervision to youth in the criminal justice system. Her practice has allowed her to examine client issues, including substance abuse, sexual or physical abuse, bullying, depression, relationships, self-image, stress, truancy, and suicide. She has figured out how to help the victims regain their happiness and live their best lives again.

I pride myself on being a Canadian woman of Caribbean descent, imbued with the integrity and strength passed down from my immigrant parents. I am a wife and parent of two adult ladies.
